Thunder Bay police may be pursuing legal action against the protesters that shut down the intersection of the Expressway and Memorial.
Police say there are potential unlawful aspects to consider in that no permit was obtained, as well as highway traffic laws regarding disruption of traffic.
Officer Dan Taddeo says the group was urged to protest pipeline construction somewhere else before it started.
He adds no arrests were made at the protest because public safety was the main focus of police.
