Thunder Bay area is expecting periods of light rain through the morning, might get about 2cms of snow, as we move through the morning.
Environment Canada’s Mark Schuster tells us it’s a bit of a different story if your heading outside Thunder Bay.
“Anyone travelling toward the west will likely encounter some poor driving conditions. Fair amount of snow fell through the night, anywhere west of Thunder Bay, towards the Kenora area.”
According to Ministry of Transportation cameras, there are a few plows working the highways surrounding Thunder Bay, as well as futher west, and further east toward Wawa.
Checking the Thunder Bay airport, no delays to report.
Schuster also notes further east toward Wawa, its mainly rain, with some areas of the 17 washed out near Sault Ste. Marie from the rain.
Again, there are a couple of plows working further east.
