A new pedestrian bridge is proposed for across the McIntyre floodway, connecting the south and north sides of the City.
City spokesperson Adam Krupper tells us they also are considering expanding the existing structure behind the McIntyre Centre.
“The other option is using the existing CN Bridge which involves a bit of a two way jog to get onto that bridge and crossing the train tracks.”
The other options include an angled bridge and one that goes straight across the river.
An open house is taking place from four until seven today at the corner of Carrick and Waterford Streets. Feedback from the public will be compiled and brought back later in the spring to City Council.
