Airline pilots in Canada will be facing new rules meant to battle flight fatigue.
Federal Transport Minister Marc Garneau indicates those changes mean there will be limits on the number of hours a pilot can fly.
Garneau indicates the changes will make sure pilots are well rested and fit for duty.
The transport minister explains large airlines will have three years to implement the regulations, while smaller northern airlines will have four years.
He notes the new rules will not apply to pilots who operate air ambulances or other emergency services.
