The CEO of the area health authority appears to have attracted some of her former co-workers at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre to work for her.
Rhonda Crocker Ellacott says since taking over the position with the Local Health Integration Network in May, about five regional hospital staffers have joined her including Dr. Gord Porter.
He is now heads up planning as the LHIN’s Interim Vice President of System Transformation, Integration and Quality.
Another former regional hospital recruit has been Adam Vinet, its former director of surgery.
Vinet is now the Interim Vice President, Home and Community Care with the network.
Crocker Ellacott herself is a former high ranking employee at the TBRHSC who left for the LHIN’s top job.
The LHIN CEO notes a number of other staff members have gone on to other positions in southern Ontario and “out west” and there have been other’s who have left to take up “other opportunities within the health care system.”
