Boris Brott’s life came to a tragic end after a hit and run collision in Hamilton.
Police have arrested a 33-year-old man in connection with a pair of crashes, one which killed Brott.
The 78-year-old directed the Lakehead Symphony Orchestra (now known as the Thunder Bay Symphony Orchestra) between 1967 and 1972.
Brott was also appointed an officer of the Order of Canada in 1986 and was also a member of the Order of Ontario.
