How are you with scary movies? It could be worth a paycheck. A company known as Financebuzz is looking for a ” horror movie heart rate analyst” to watch thirteen scary films this Halloween. You’ll be wearing a Fitbit to monitor your heart rate and be paid $1,300. The company wants to find out if the film’s budget has an impact on how scary it is. The list includes high and low-budget films like Saw, The Blair Witch Project, Candyman, the two A Quiet Place movies, Paranormal Activity(made for just $15,000 but grossed over $193 million) and more. The only thing is they’re looking just for U.S. citizens who must be at least 18 years old. Deadline to apply is September 26th. Could you watch them all and not get scared?
Looks like another website, Dish Network is also offering a similar job to someone to watch thirteen films, and rate their experience based on novels by Stephen King. I wouldn’t mind that job. You’ll also be paid $1,300, but again you have to be a permanent resident of the U.S. You get to watch films like The Shining, Misery and The Mist and the original or remake of three films Carrie, It and Pet Sematary. They didn’t include The Dead Zone, my favorite movie of a King story with Christopher Walken, directed by David Cronenberg. Would you be able to watch all of the films and have a good night’s sleep after?
What is your favorite scary film?
