Five people are in police custody following drug raids in two Westfort homes.
Police moved in on the Gore Street homes Wednesday evening, where they found suspected pills, crack cocaine, money and drug paraphernalia and guns.
One Toronto area suspect fought back against police, but he was arrested. Two others from Toronto also arrested. All three are in their 20s.
A 33-year-old Thunder Bay woman and 65-year-old local man were taken into custody.
Meanwhile, an 27-year-old Ottawa area man is in jail, charged with drug offenses after police checked on a Picton Avenue home.
They were called just after 3am, Thursday morning, to reports of a woman in distress.
While checking on her, police say a suspect was in a bathroom, appearing to flush suspected drugs down the toilet.
He was found with over $5,000, suspected proceeds of crime.
