The federal government has extended the border closure for another month.
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau reveals the COVID-19 travel restrictions will remain in place at all Canada-United States land crossings until January 21st, 2021.
Tourists and cross-border visits remain prohibited, although there are exemptions
- Trade and commerce are exempted
- Certain family members and loved ones who can make a case on compassionate grounds to be allowed into Canada (mandatory quarantine conditions apply)
