A number of options to repair and restore Waverley Park’s Hogarth Fountain are coming before City Council tonight.
The options vary in costs with restoring the existing fountain and mechanical system coming in at $50,000.
Another option comes in at $125 to $150,000 with the most expensive option being a full upgrade of the fountain which would run us almost a half-million dollars.
In May of this year, city councillors asked staff to come back with a plan to restore the historic fountain that dates back to 1790.
Councillor Kristen Oliver says she looks forward to hearing the report Monday night saying the fountain is a beautiful enhancement to that park but they have to weigh whether they can make it swing financially or not.
