Fort Hope First Nation is vying for your support in the Kraft Hockeyville contest.
Grade 8 teacher Taylor Cove tells us they want to win so they can use the prize money to purchase a new arena for their community.
“We have three, four, five hockey teams here. We are a community of roughly about 1,500 and you will see such a passion for hockey around the community, and mostly that’s because there’s not much to do. We do have school programs but they mostly relate back to hockey.”
The deadline for the top four is this Saturday.
The grand prize includes $250,000 in arena upgrades and an NHL game, while three-second place winners will get $25,000.
