There are some changes in store for this year’s Parade of Lights.
This year organizers are creating a sensory friendly section on Fort William Road between Queen and Water Streets, according to Greg Stephenson.
“Where we’re encouraging people not to honk their horns, so if anyone is bothered by that, we certainly encourage them to attend there.”
Tonight’s parade starts at seven pm from Manitoulin’s yard and continues to the Intercity area.
Organizers hope to bring in $40,000 this year for Autism Ontario, George Jeffrey Children’s Centre, Thunder Bay Therapeutic Riding Association and Special Olympics Ontario.
Stephenson tells us they’ve set up a GoFundMe account this year, so you can donate online.
