Canada’s water supply is getting good marks.
A recent report from the Fraser Institute shows that 82 percent of the nation’s water supply is fair to excellent.
The study suggests there have been improvements in recent years in municipal wastewater treatment and the use of pesticides and fertilizers by homeowners.
There are a couple of areas of concern, including the south end of Lake Winnipeg, where nutrient levels are described as excessive, especially near the inflow of the Red River.
