The province is looking at replacing the French Language Services Commissioner after saying they would get rid of the independent watchdog.
The PCs announced in their Fall Economic Statement they would make its duties part of the Ombudsman’s Office.
However on Friday Premier Doug Ford issued a statement saying they will call for the creation of an Independent French-Language Services Commissioner within the Ombudsman’s office instead.
