City firefighters are reminding you to stay off the ice, after they were called to the Intercity area yesterday.
Fire officials say a call came in at 2:00 PM reporting people on the McIntyre River near Fort William Road.
Nine firefighters responded to the scene, but when they arrived, they found the people were safely off the ice being interviewed by police.
Firefighters emphasize ice in and around the city isn’t safe, and regardless, walking on the ice inside city limits is banned by the Harbourmaster.
