Two Thunder Bay people have been convicted after 23 cats and kittens were found abandoned in a local park.
The 45-year-old woman and 47-year-old man pled guilty recently to a number of animal cruelty charges.
They both got two years probation, while she was sentenced to 60 days in custody, he got 90 days.
Ontario SPCA officers were called to Wilson Street Park in Thunder Bay on June 15th, 2016 after the felines were discovered abandoned in one dog crate.
One kitten in the crate was found dead.
