The level of Lake Superior has risen over the last month or so, according to the Lakehead Region Conservation Authority.
CEO Tammy Cooke notes the above average rainfall in September and October made a difference.
“The beginning of November level is still 29cm above the average level we should see for beginning of November, compared to a year ago we’re about 4cm below where we were a year ago.”
The CEO adds this rain has been needed to keep ground level water up, or to ensure people with private wells don’t run dry.
