A 58-year old man is dead after being run over by three vehicles on Fort William Road.
Thunder Bay police say they were called to the area just north of Mooney Street last night just after 8, to find the man dead on the road.
Police closed the road down for several hours to gather information.
They say they discovered a 35-year old Thunder Bay man was heading southbound when he came across the man laying on the road. He attempted to avoid him, but failed.
Then, a 60-year local man, driving behind the first driver, took evasive action but also ran over the man on the road.
A third vehicle in procession, driven by a 32-year old Thunder Bay woman, also failed to avoid hitting the man on the road, but also hit the vehicle in front of her.
Police give no word on any charges, but add no other serious injuries reported.
