Expecting another 10-20mm of rain today, but also wind gusts up to 50kms an hour for the Thunder Bay area.
Although Environment Canada tells us areas further north and west could get some freezing rain, such as Upsula, Geraldton and Atikokan.
And if you head toward Dryden or Sioux Lookout, be on the lookout for 15-25cms of snow.
Also, it’ll stay as rain anywhere along Highway 17, by the lake where it’s warmer.

Special weather statement in effect for:
- City of Thunder Bay
Rain at times heavy is expected today and tonight as a strong low pressure system approaches the area.
Total amounts approaching 50 mm are possible by the time the precipitation tapers off on Thursday. The rain will likely become mixed with snow overnight or Thursday morning, but accumulations are expected to be minimal.
Please note that freezing rain warnings are in effect for regions inland from Lake Superior where temperatures will likely be close to the freezing mark. A messy mix of freezing rain and ice pellets is likely in these areas today and tonight with hazardous travelling conditions.
