One local woman is forbidden from owning a dog for five years after she was convicted on animal welfare charges.
Animal welfare officials say they charged her with failing to provide proper medical attention after an investigation last December about a dog found running around with red, raw skin all over its body.
The dog was rehomed and the 42-year-old woman was charged by the OSPCA.
She pleaded guilty to the charge on September 17, and has also been fined $200 and put on probation for two years.
