As light rain continues this morning, Thunder Bay came close to getting the amount Environment Canada had predicted.
Meteorologist Ryan Rozinskis notes the measurements taken for this area as of 4am were about 30mm.
Further north and east it was a bit less.
The meteorogist is expecting another 5-10mm through the rest of the day for Thunder Bay, with similar amounts falling around the rest of the region, including west.
He adds a special weather statement was put in place as the weather system heading over Wawa, Timmins and northern eastern Ontario was expected to touch Thunder Bay.
