The polar bear sculptures at Chippewa Park have been spruced up thanks to some local volunteers.
On social media, iCARE Thunder Bay founder Adam Gulbinowicz says he professionally restored the statues and repainted them with the help of volunteers.
The 35-year-old concrete statues sit outside the gates to the former Wildlife Exhibit, which closed last year.
The statues were installed in 1983, and created by artist Zbigniew Gajda.
They’re challenging others to take on their own projects to beautify the city.
