The final curtain has come down on Actor Burt Reynolds.
Reyhold’s publicists confirmed the 82 year old actor suffered a heart attack and passed away today.
Through the sixties, Reynolds appeared in numerous TV series and “B” movies, but it was his appearance in “Deliverance” in 1972 that drew critical acclaim.
A series of ‘hit’ movies like “The Longest Yard” and “Smokey and the Bandit” made him a household name in the 70’s and 80’s.
Reynolds was married twice, first to “Laugh In” star Judy Carne and then to Loni Anderson. In his later years, he referred to “Smokey and the Bandit” co-star Sally Field as his one true love and the ‘one that got away.’
Reynolds is survived by an adopted son, Quinton, from his second marriage.
