Vigilance is still top of mind on the roads today as Thunder Bay police are watching out for kids on their first day back at school.
Sergeant Gordon Snyder stresses they will be targeting both sides of our City for people who are driving over the 40 km/hr speed limit.
“School zones are school zones all the time. There’s good reason for that, it’s a gathering place for children all the time not just when school is in session.”
The sergeant adds while most drivers have been diligent in slowing down in school areas, several speeding tickets were still handed out this morning. (File photo)
