A man was uninjured after he had to be rescued from Lake Superior.
District Chief Doug Westlake says firefighters and bystanders went out to retrieve a man who reportedly jumped into Lake Superior at the Marina off of Pier 3, near the Sailing Club buidling.
Firefighters were called there just before eight o’clock Monday night.
A bystander took two firefighters out to retrieve the man, who was brought back to shore unharmed.
Westlake says they got word the man had entered the water with the intention of swimming to the lighthouse at the breakwall.
