After months of consultation, the Federal government is looking to introduce updated employment legislation this fall.
Labour Minister Patty Hajdu tells us she hopes to bring it to the House of Commons as soon as possible.
“The next step will be to introduce legislation in the house. The house has a very busy calendar so I will be waiting my time to introduce the legislation so I can get it through as quickly as possible.”
The new legislation will deal with hours of work, wages, and holidays for employees in federally regulated industries such as banking, telecommunications and transportation. (File Photo)
