It’s the second day of celebrating Italian culture at the 28th annual Festa Italiana.
It’s on now and runs until 11 o’clock tonight at the Italian Cultural Centre on Algoma Street.
Spokesperson John Bonofiglio says this is your chance to get some of the Italian dishes you don’t get every day.
“Gnocchis are the big sell, everybody wants gnocchi,” Bonofiglio notes, “And of course, we have spezzatino, which is a pork stew, which, again you don’t get that everywhere.”
Celebrations including food, dancing, and fireworks will be on all night.
Bonofiglio tells us the highlight is the draw for a trip for two to Italy.
The proceeds from ticket sales for the draw go to the Northern Cancer Fund.
The draw takes place at the end of the day today. (File Photo)
