Lawyers on both sides will be telling a judge what they would like to see in a sentence for their clients in a 2016 stabbing death.
They’ll be back in court on June 1st.
They appeared in court today awaiting sentencing but a Gladue report that details Netemegesic’s Indigenous background was unavailable.
In December of last year, Clinton Netemegesic plead guilty to manslaughter, and Cecil Matinet plead guilty to aggravated assault.
Netemegesic is still in custody while Matinet is on a 24 hour curfew similar to house arrest.
The victim was 18 year old Brent Donio who died from his injuries sustained during a fight in July of 2016 at a Windsor Street housing complex.
