Liberal Leader Kathleen Wynne has released more details about a revenue sharing agreement with area First Nations.
It deals with money generated from the mining and forest industry.
Wynne says the agreement covers 32 First Nation agencies or communities.
Noting that they’ve been working with First Nation leaders for some time on revenue sharing, “We recognize that we need to continue to work with First Nations to come up with agreements that are fair,” Wynne admits.
Grand Council Treaty #3, Wabun Tribal Council and Mushkegowuk Council will be able to share 45 per cent of government revenues from a variety of forestry and mining taxes. (File Photo)
