The government of Newfoundland and Labrador is taking a close look at one of the programs provided by the Keewatin-Patricia District School Board.
A delegation of 16 educators toured three programs for Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder last week.
Sean Monteith is the director of education and says the delegates traveled to Sioux Lookout, Kenora and Dryden.
“They asked if they could come and meet staff, watch the program in action and see the benefit to kids. So they spent the last three days. I’m surprised the delegation was as large as it was.”
Monteith says more and more school boards are taking a look at their FASD classroom programs to see how they work.
