Police say there are three people charged in connection with the armed standoff in an apartment at a residence on the 100 block of Heron Street.
They say it began at around 6 o’clock last night when police were called to a report of gunshots being fired.
The police tactical unit was called in and the area around the home was cordoned off.
It wasn’t until after 9 o’clock that it ended when a man and woman exited peacefully with no injuries.
Police indicate the woman, 20 year old Laurita Oshkineegish, is charged with breach of probation, while the man, 21 year old Caleb Koostachin is charged with three firearms offences.
The third person, 26 year old Terence Hudson, the apartment owner, is charged with careless storage of a firearm and breach of probation.

Heron Street Incident
On January 10, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. a 911 call was received reporting the sound of gunshots and a male outside with a gun. TBPS officers were quickly on the scene to secure the perimeter and contain a house located in the 100 block of Heron Street.
The Command post was set up and efforts began to communicate with individuals believed to be in the residence. At 9:07 p.m. a male and female exited the house, surrendered to police, arrested and transported to the Balmoral Police station.
The investigation has revealed that a male and female were consuming alcohol inside an apartment in the house when they had a disagreement. The 21 year old male took a gun outside. While outside he pointed the gun at a neighbor who was just arriving home. The male and female reentered the home and the gun was discharged. There were no injuries.
Officers entered the apartment after the arrest to confirm that it was vacant. Officers observed a number of long gun, ammunition and a compound bow in plain view. The residence is being held awaiting a search warrant to do a more thorough search for weapons.
Laurita Oshkineegish, 20 year old has been charged with Breach of Probation.
Caleb Koostachin, 21 years old has been charged with Pointing a Firearm, Reckless Discharge of a Firearm, and Possession of Firearm While Prohibited.
A third male who owns the apart was arrested during this incident. Terence Hudson, 26 year old has been charged with Careless Storage of a Firearm and Breach of Probation.
All three individuals appeared in court this morning and have been remanded in custody.
