Thunder Bay’s Chamber of Commerce president is disappointed and surprised Ontario’s PC leader will allow the minimum wage hike to $15 an hour proceed, if he becomes Premier.
Charla Robinson says the Chamber will continue trying to convince all politicians of what the changes will mean.
Brown has stated under a Conservative government, the wage hike would happen at a much slower pace, which doesn’t reassure Robinson.
“I would have anticipated that the Conservative party would have had a better understanding of the concerns of business.”
However, she notes that it’s election season, adding there’s still time for politicians to change course over the next 12 months. (File Photo)
