Prepare yourself for a bigger property tax bill.
The city made some changes to its tax policy Monday night, and that’s affecting more than 40-thousand residential properties.
Rob Colquhoun explains the latest property tax reassessment means most of those bills are increasing by between $51 and $150 dollars.
“The median value property in 2017 is valued at approximately $188,000 and they would see a $104 increase in the 2017 tax bill so that works out to about $8.70 a month.”
The residential tax levy is going up by just under 3.5 percent.
