A local think-thank is part of a provincial pilot program examing the local labour market.
The North Superior Workforce Planning Board has been selected by the province to deliver one of eight Local Employment Planning Council pilot projects.
Spokesperson Madge Richardson says its a chance to gather current data for the government. She says they’re looking at how the employment planning councils can help them at the local level in integrated planning and making sure that employers have access to programs and services that are available to them.
The pilot program runs for 18 months.
