The Canadian Radio-Television and Telecommunications Commission is looking at adding wireless service providers to its National Public Alerting System.
The system currently sends warning messages over radio and television.
The CRTC says with the expansion of wireless devices, the industry’s involvement could further enhance its effectiveness of the alerting system.
