The families of missing or murdered Aboriginal women are telling their stories in Thunder Bay today.
The hearing is being hosted by the Chiefs of Ontario. Regional Chief Stan Beardy says it’s all in preparation of a First Nation-led truth seeking process into what happened to their love ones.
He says having this exercise gives hope to the families, the communities and their nations that finally there will be something done. Beardy says the chiefs are tired of waiting for a federal government inquiry on the matter. (File Photo)
