A former Kenora resident is one of 23 people who was injured in a deadly bus accident in Ottawa over the weekend.
Thomas Cain is working with the Department of National Defense and happened to be on that bus that collided with a bus shelter, killing three of the passengers.
Cain says he feels lucky he wasn’t more seriously injured.
“For me it’s a significant thing. I walked away,” explains Cain.
“I can’t imagine how it is for the other people out there. All I got was a broken tibia and there are others out there that got far worse and all I can think about is them.”
The Transportation Safety Board has agreed to help out with the investigation.
So far the cause of the collision still hasn’t been determined.
