Duncan Keith reached the one-thousand mark in games played in the NHL last weekend.
Keith, a defenceman with the Chicago Blackhawks, says it represents a career that started in Northwestern Ontario.
“It’s a lot of time on the outdoor rink back home in Fort Frances, and then a lot of time on the rinks in Penticton [British Columbia]. I’m proud to be able to play 1,000 games.”
His career includes three Stanley Cup rinks, two Norris trophies as best defenceman, and a Conn Smythe award as playoff MVP.
