Nova Scotia has introduced legislation to ban unnecessary cosmetic surgery for animals.
This includes cutting off tails, ear cropping and declawing of cats.
The surgery won’t be allowed unless medically necessary.
The changes to the Animal Protection Act will make Nova Scotia the leader in animal protection.
